Norway's ANSP; runs the world's largest remote tower centre at Bodo, 14 airports live and scaling past 21.
Avinor Air Navigation Services runs Norway's remote tower programme from the Bodo Remote Tower Centre on Kongsberg and Indra (Ninox) technology. Fourteen airports were live from Bodo as of April 2025, the world's largest remote tower operation, with a phase two rollout (Batsfjord, Mosjoen, Sandane, Sorkjosen, Vadso, and Orsta-Volda in 2026/27, a new Mo i Rana in spring 2027, and the new Bodo airport in 2029/30) taking the target to 21 or more airports controlled from one centre. The Norwegian CAA approved a multiple-operations trial, one controller working two airports at once, running February 10 through the end of September 2026 across four airport pairs.
