Overview
DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung is Germany's ANSP. Its Remote Tower Control centre in Leipzig has controlled Saarbrucken since December 2018 and Erfurt-Weimar since April 2022, on Frequentis smartVISION-lineage technology delivered through the Frequentis DFS Aerosense joint venture, which DFS co-owns. Dresden was planned as the third airport but has slipped by roughly three years, and its go-live was not independently confirmed as of mid-2026 (unverified). Subsidiary DFS Aviation Services opened the Remote Tower Center Niedersachsen in Braunschweig in 2024, serving Braunschweig-Wolfsburg and Emden.
