The Frequentis and DFS joint venture that delivers turnkey remote digital towers; distinct from Frequentis itself.
Frequentis DFS Aerosense is a joint venture founded in 2018 in Austria by Frequentis and German ANSP DFS to deliver turnkey remote tower solutions. It is distinct from Frequentis, which supplies the smartVISION technology the JV builds on. Its footprint includes the DFS remote tower line (RTC Leipzig serving Saarbrucken since December 2018 and Erfurt since April 2022, with Dresden planned), a validation system for a virtual tower at Munich Airport with validations in 2025, and Denmark's Naviair integrated remote tower and approach programme, initially for Billund (operational status not confirmed in this pass).
