Bartow Executive Airport (Digital Tower Operations Center)

Photo of the airport: US Geological Survey, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.

Bartow Executive Airport (Digital Tower Operations Center) is a remote tower: cameras and sensors at the airport feed controllers who work somewhere else. Installed at Bartow; active control testing was slated for January 2026 and full air traffic control services were targeted for July 2026.

Caveat. The FAA states that no remote tower system was approved for the NAS as of its February 2025 page. See the United States program page for the September 2026 design approval.
