uAvionix is a US avionics company whose tower products are the FlightLine suite: SAI surface awareness displays, APRT airborne position reference displays, and VTU-20 vehicle trackers. These are ADS-B based situational awareness tools, not camera-based remote towers. The FAA approved the APRT product class for NAS use on August 15, 2025, and uAvionix FlightLine APRT holds the first FAA System Design Approval for any tower product, reported as an approved alternative to STARS displays for Federal Contract Towers, with initial deployment at Glacier Park International in Montana. FlightLine SAI runs at dozens of FAA towers, including six Florida airports delivered in record time, and the FAA added 55 towers to the SAI program. FAA SRM materials describe the APRT as a tool a controller may use to support visual observation of aircraft alongside pilot position reports; it cannot be used for separation. uAvionix appears with RTX in the July 2025 APRT safety risk management panel, and a uAvionix APRT SRM document dated August 2025 sits in the FAA process tied to Leesburg Executive (JYO).
