Inverness (HIAL Combined Surveillance Centre) is a remote tower centre: the facility where controllers work for one or more airports. HIAL planned to move air traffic services for Dundee, Sumburgh, Kirkwall and Stornoway into Inverness; the project of about GBP 34 million was cancelled on 24 August 2022.
