Miquelon Airport (remote from Saint-Pierre)

Photo of the airport: NASA World Wind, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.

Miquelon Airport (remote from Saint-Pierre) is a remote tower: cameras and sensors at the airport feed controllers who work somewhere else. DSNA selected Searidge in March 2016 to remote Miquelon from Saint-Pierre, about 40 km away; cameras to be installed at Miquelon.

Caveat. Selected in 2016. NATS lists a Miquelon and Saint-Pierre digital tower as a reference, while a union document calls earlier French attempts failures. Neither gives a service date.
